Northwood NH, December 17: Dennis Francoeur Jr. CIH, CSP, of RPF Associates, Inc. (RPF) successfully completed the Aerobiology Instruction and Research Course on Fungal Spore Identification and Sampling at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA. The UMass program included the latest state-of-the-art sampling techniques and identification of fungal spores in air and on surfaces along with other health related particulates including pollen and other allergens. The program involved extensive direct examination of air and surface samples with the UMass instructors, Dr. Christine Rogers and Michael Muilenberg formally of Harvard School of Public Health. Dennis is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and has been working throughout New England in the field of industrial hygiene since 1981. Industrial Hygiene is the science and art of anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of health hazards in the workplace and environment including indoor air quality (IAQ) testing.
