Dennis Francoeur Jr. CIH, CSP, of RPF Associates, Inc. (RPF) successfully
completed the Aerobiology Instruction and Research Course on Fungal Spore
Identification and Sampling at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA.
The UMass program included the latest state-of-the-art sampling techniques
and identification of fungal spores in air and on surfaces along with
other health related particulates including pollen and other allergens.
The program involved extensive direct examination of air and surface samples
with the UMass instructors, Dr. Christine Rogers and Michael Muilenberg
formally of Harvard School of Public Health. Dennis is a Certified Industrial
Hygienist (CIH) and has been working throughout New England in the field
of industrial hygiene since 1981. Industrial Hygiene is the science and
art of anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of health hazards
in the workplace and environment including indoor air quality (IAQ) testing.
