Allan Mercier began his career as an industrial hygienist in the US Air Force where he was trained as a Bio Environmental Engineer. He went on to work as a project manager at a leading environmental contracting company overseeing hazardous materials cleanup activities including oil spill cleanup, site remediation and groundwater treatment. Allan Mercier has been with RPF Environmental since October of 2006 where he started as a field technician and later became a project manager overseeing and managing projects related to environmental investigations, hazardous building material surveys, industrial hygiene monitoring and project monitoring at various asbestos and other remediation projects.
He moved through the ranks at RPF starting with becoming a licensed asbestos inspector responsible for performing hazardous materials inspections at locations ranging from residential to commercial and large industrial facilities. Other areas of specialization include mold and indoor air quality investigations, water related field work, and oversight and management of mold, asbestos, lead, and other hazardous material projects. He is certified as a Certified Microbial Consultant by the American Council for Accredited Certification and is responsible for investigating mold related issues and developing appropriate mold remediation plans. Allan Mercier is an accredited and licensed asbestos Project Monitor, Analyst, Inspector, Designer and Management Planner throughout the New England states.
He is also the Operations Manager of RPF and is responsible for the day to day organizational activities of a 15-member team, including being a key member of the operational leadership. Daily duties and responsibilities include monitoring and coordinating RPF’s field operations, scheduling, and personnel to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects along with providing technical support to field staff on regulatory compliance, customer interfacing, project progress, budgets and coordination, and technical equipment and media usage.
This is in addition to performing all duties as a Senior EH&S Consultant including environmental health and safety consulting and project management directly to clients throughout New England including educational systems, government, prime contractors, industrial sites, health care, and general construction settings.
