Lead substances, including lead-based paint, are
highly regulated. Exposure to lead can result in serious health effects, especially in young children. The presence of lead can affect families in their homes, construction workers, occupants around construction activity, manufacturing involving lead, and many specialized processes such as stained glass work and various hobbies. Recent state and federal regulations require lead disclosures for property transactions and rentals, in addition to stringent controls for construction activity.
